20 private foundations help support state census process in the state of California

According to reports out of Oakland, they have awarded grants to more than 125 community organizations that have strong connections to people the U.S. Census Bureau has had difficulty counting in the past

Thomas Aquinas College received a grant from Dan Murphy Foundation in honor of the college’s late president and is a led gift in the new capital campaign

An estate gift from of Earl Riopelle and his wife Lanice is one of the largest ever received Kettering University

Manoa, Hawaii

The University of Hawaii Mānoa’s School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene received this gift from four of Hawaii’s healthcare companies:

Hawai‘i Medical Service Association (HMSA) Foundation $500,000;

Hawai‘i Pacific Health $250,000;

Kaiser Permanente Hawai‘i $50,000;

and the Queen’s Medical Center $250,000

to the Hawai‘i Nursing Simulation Center Fund

The Community Foundation of Decatur/Macon County announced $1 million from the Charles D. and Patricia A. Perkinson Endowment Fund

The $1 million gift qualifies for a matching gift of $1 million from the Grand Victoria Foundation in Chicago
